David is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and piano teacher originally from California and now based in Oregon. His earliest childhood memory was listening to Simon & Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits cassette while riding in the car with his parents in the early 90s and soon after, David found himself making up songs on the piano with an undying desire to learn and explore many styles of music. He studied jazz and classical while in school before learning more modern/contemporary music, expanding to more ambient, folk, pop and rock aesthetics. He went on to become an accomplished recording artist with music that can be found in a variety of films, video games, dance academies, and advertisements. 

David’s teaching style features highly individualized learning, and he patiently guides students with music literacy as well as understanding music theory and encouraging creativity at the piano. He knows the power of music and is passionate about helping others find it empowering in their lives too.
