REGISTRATION INFORMATION

We accept new student registrations at any time throughout the year. Once enrolled at Vesper School of Music, students commit to a regular weekly or bi-weekly lesson schedule. Lessons are ongoing unless the student requests to change their schedule or discontinue/pause lessons. Registration is on an ongoing basis, meaning once enrolled students need not re-enroll for terms, quarters, or school years.

An annual $25 registration fee per student is charged each September 1st. New students are charged an initial $25 registration fee the month they register and then a $25 registration fee each September 1st. The initial registration fee is waived for students who register between June and August.

PAYMENT & BILLING

Vesper School of Music bills students in advance for private lessons on a monthly basis. If a new student’s first lesson falls between billing cycles, the first payment will be prorated for the following month and will process on the date of the first lesson. A valid credit card is required to reserve your lesson time.

Automatic payments are processed on the 1st day of each month for the following month’s lessons. For example, if there will be four lessons in October the full payment for the four lessons will be processed on October 1st.

For any billing related questions please email us at billing@vesperschoolofmusic.com.

RESCHEDULING & CANCELING LESSONS

All private lesson scheduling is done through our main office administration. If you are cancelling a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, please contact your teacher directly. Otherwise, please do not contact your teacher directly to reschedule or cancel lessons. To reschedule a lesson or for any scheduling questions please email our main office at info@vesperschoolofmusic.com or text us at (503) 298-5434.

Vesper School of Music requires 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a lesson. If we do not receive 24 hours' notice we will not be able to reschedule the lesson. If a student requests to reschedule with more than 24 hours’ notice Vesper will make every effort to accommodate the request, although we cannot guarantee the lesson will be rescheduled. Effective 7/1/22 we are no longer offering refunds for cancelled lessons.

Students may cancel or reschedule in advance up to one lesson per month. If the student cancels a lesson before the next payment is processed, the student will not be billed for the lesson. However, this is limited to one lesson per month.

As working musicians, our teachers will occasionally have performances that conflict with lesson times. If this occurs, students will be notified in advance and we will arrange for a substitute teacher for the lesson. If we are unable to provide a substitute teacher the lesson will be canceled and the student will not be charged. Musical performances are necessary for our teachers to maintain their skills and value as educators.

DISCONTINUING LESSONS

Once enrolled, students must give 30 days' notice in writing to discontinue private lessons for any reason. If a student requests to discontinue without 30 days' notice they are still responsible for the full 30 days’ payment, even if they cannot attend these last lessons. The 30 days’ notice policy for discontinuing does not apply to lessons purchased as a gift certificate.
