Lisa Adams has been a teacher and musician in the Portland and Vancouver area since 2010. Her work in school music programs and private studios over the last decade has helped her develop a wide range of methods and skills that she shares with students, teaching violin, voice and piano.

Lisa was one of Hope College's Distinguished Artists, and she holds a degree in vocal music education. Many of her students have been elected to prestigious ensembles including regional and state honor groups in Washington, and the NafME All-National Honor Choir.

Lisa is also an active songwriter and musician. She and her husband Sam formed Portland based band Sama Dams in 2011. At the band's inception she served as multi-instrumentalist and singer, and made her songwriting debut on the group's second release, "Comfort in Doubt." The band has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe since 2012.

She currently lives in SE Portland with her husband Sam and their dog, Freddy.
